Florence DOLEAC

Contact : 48, rue pernety 75014 Paris - France

Ph. 01 40 26 05 10
environmental designer, industrial designer, teacher

Florence Doléac is a designer.
After graduating from the ENSCI/ Les Ateliers in 1994, she was one of the co-founders in 1997 of the RADI DESIGNERS group company with Laurent Massaloux, Robert Stadler and Olivier Sidet ; it was the beginning of an intense and fruitful collaboration. In 2003 she decided to lead a solo career. While she continued to teach at the ECAL, she industrialized her projects and mounted exhibitions in art galleries; she is represented by the Aline Vidal gallery since 2002.
It is in this interstitial space - where design enters into dialogue with art and where its modalities of presentation and production are between the commercial and the institutional spheres - that Florence Doléac inscribes her work. This stance and her laying claim to it impart a specific identity. Amidst the panorama of design work today, Florence Doléac brings to bear not only the tension between production and display, with responses full of humour and poetry, but also questions function and its pendant: uselessness.
