environmental designer, architect, interior architect, teacher, inventor

Marie-Laure Bourgeois and Vincent Bécheau are DPLG- qualified architects (UP6 Paris) who first came to attention of the public in 1980 with their furniture in bright-coloured onduline and their research into materials.
They are archaeologists of modern times.
Among other things, they did the layout for the Eric Fabre gallery in Paris, and the reception hall for the Font de Gaume prehistoric cave-painting site in Dordogne.
They are also the creators of a line of street furniture (S’ Technicité,Beautiran and Eclatec, Nancy), for the town of Bruges (33). They have taken part in many exhibitions and in 1988 were invited to Japan by Shiro Kuramata for the In-Spiration Lighting show.
They develop their activity as inventors.
Their competition wins include Progressive Architecture in 1983, the Artemide contest in 1988, and the ICSID (International Council Society of Design) in 1991.
In addition to their wide range of activities they are teachers, and constantly direct their technical research towards social and political themes ...
For BECHEAU-BOURGEOIS, design is no longer in the object.

Their works have also figured in group shows in 2000 and 2001«Présence de l’objet» at Fouet, both years at the Grand-Hornu (BEL), at Rochechouart, in Limoges and Paris, in 2006 «Les editions du CRAFT», in Milan, in 2002 "Van bakeliet tot composiet" at the Design Museum of Ghent (BEL), and in 2006 at the Biennale internationale de Saint-Etienne.
