environmental designer, interior architect, industrial designer, teacher

In 1986 Marie-Christine Dorner went to Tokyo where she designed her first furniture collection with Idée Japan. The public and the press discovered her. Following this she set up her own practice in Paris. Other furniture collections followed in France, Italy, Spain and Holland, not to mention interiors, the Hôtel La Villa at Saint-Germain-des-Près, urban furniture in Nîmes, the presidential stand which she has been assembling and dismantling since 1990, and derived objects for a new line the Musée du Louvre. In 1995 she received the Grand Prix for Design Creation from the city of Paris. At present she is living in London with her little family, teaching at the Royal College of Art and pursuing her work as a designer. What next?
