Fred Sionis and Jérôme Garzon form the MACHIN MACHIN duo. Both hold a DSAA product design diploma from the Ecole Boulle in Paris. They began their collaboration at the Ecole Normale Supérieure of Cachan (shared project for Master 2 degree). In 2007 they were awarded a VIA project assistance grant. Their projects range from industrial design (Neli Technologies) to furniture production (Roche Bobois) and research. Following an exhibition at the Villa Noailles in 2008, their FraîcheStories project was nominated for the Kazazian prize, an award reserved for significant eco-design.
In 2009, new objects from the ‘FraîcheStories’ family figured in the ‘Paris, design en mutation’ exhibition: 3 new alternatives for cooling habitat.
