environmental designer, industrial designer

Born in Saint-Nazaire in 1979, he studied at the Nantes Atlantique design school. After graduating in 2002 he went to work with George J. Sowden in Milan, handling projects for furniture and general public consumer products.
In 2004 he re-located to Paris and set up as a freelance designer. His activity is now shared between collaborations with design offices and his own projects.
He has worked on the RADI Designers team to develop a range of electrical appliances for Moulinex. And in 2005, he joined Delo Lindo, handling projects for Ligne Roset, Tefal and various museums. In 2006, he collaborated with Robert Stadler to design a water jug for Ricard before doing stints with Pierre Charpin and Christophe Pillet. Since 2007 he is a regular collaborator with Marc Newson.
In parallel, in 2004 he participated in Industreal as a co-organizer of ‘In dust we trust’, the first exhibition mounted by this group of young Italian producers. Since then, working solo or in duo with Ionna Vautrin, he has designed many objects in glass and porcelain for them. At the Milan furniture fair 2008, these works figured in the ‘Industreal overture’ exhibition. The ‘Fabbrica del vapore’ project has just been awarded the Wallpaper 2009 prize for the best vase.
Guillaume Delvigne has also worked occasionally with Thibaud Klepper and Pierre Brichet for commission projects like a mobile bar for Ricard or a reception counter for an art gallery.
Late 2008 he began an industrial design collaboration with the Interscience firm and designed a lamp for the Tools Gallery.
He is a member of the Dito research collective, which won an Agora grant in 2007.
