In 1975 he graduated as an interior architect from the “Nationaal Hoger Instituut voor Bouwkunde en Stedebouw” in Antwerp (Belgium). He lives and works in Antwerp ever since. He did specialized studies in furniture design and photography. After his studies he worked at several architecture studios.
In 1988 he set up his own studio for interior architecture and furniture design.
Since 1984 he teaches interior design, furniture design and design basics at several architecture schools in Belgium.
He designs intimate furniture and lighting objects, without anecdotal humour or exaggerated experimenting. Logic and good taste give rise to useful and familiar objects, always without unnecessary frills.

He won several prizes in national and international furniture and lighting competitions. “Halve Maan” a table lamp was selected by V.i.a. in Paris. His floor lamp “Voilé” for Surplus (B) is exposed in the permanent design collection of the Design Museum Ghent since 1992. In ’96 the floor lamp “Abat-jour” for Palluccoitalia (I) was selected by V.i.z.o. for the “Henry van de Velde-prijs “ best product.
He has been invited, as external examiner, by several architecture schools and he was also a member of the jury for the prestigious design competition of “Interieur 2000” Kortrijk (B).
His furniture designs and interior architecture projects were exposed in several exhibitions in Antwerp, Ghent, Brussels, Amsterdam, Cologne, Frankfurt-am Main, Milan, Paris, Barcelona,
