Marc-Antoine FLORIN

Contact : 21, rue Grateloup 33800 Bordeaux - France

Ph. 05 56 31 85 31
environmental designer, architect, teacher

A former research scholar at the Villa Médicis (the French Academy in Rome), Marc-Antoine Florin is now based in Bordeaux where he works as a designer in four areas
- General distribution & mail-order sales: home furniture (dining room tables, TV cabinets, shelves) & accessories (CD & magazine racks).
- Furniture for collective environments : libraries & documentation centres, schools, restaurants.
- Public facilities : specific furniture & layouts for cultural spaces, media libraries, university establishments, as well as urban furniture & signage installations.
- Design for events (in partnership with the firm EUGÈNE !) : notably for France Télécom, Lyonnaise des Eaux, Air France, for various local organizations, and facilities for museums or commercial structures.
Florin’s pragmatic approach to projects is the key to his choice of a range of activities where economic and technological constraints are of prime importance. He likes to show that however rigid specifications may be, each project can give rise to narrative or technical brio.
